How to enable 4G ONLY MODE in Huawei Mobiles?(LATEST 2021 METHOD) NO ROOT REQUIRED!



As we know that 4G data networks have completely changed the mobile industry and paved the way for the widespread use of today's mobile devices. A big advantage of 4G network is a much lower ping or latency as compared to 3G or DSL Broadband Networks. There was a bug in Huawei Smartphones like Y6 Prime 2018 and many others, which didn't enable users to connect to the 4G Network. They were only limited to 3G, which you all know isn't that great!

STEP-BY-STEP METHOD:

#1 - Go to the Google Play Store and download an app called "Set edit". The app will have the following logo:


This app lets you change the android settings database.

#2 - Now when you have downloaded the app successfully, open it. Tap on System Table.


#3 - Locate a row named "hw_networkmode_preference".


#4 - Now tap on this line and a prompt will appear and then tap on EDIT VALUE.



#5 - Remove the old value and change the value to"11" for old android versions and for Android 7.0 - Android 8.0, Change the value to "9,6,2,1,11" (Without spaces).


#6 - After you have changed the value, tap on "Save Changes" and then reboot your device.


#7 - After you have rebooted your device, Go to Android settings→Wireless & Networks→Mobile Network. Then change the "Preferred Network Type" to LTE ONLY.
